Baby update
I'm 28 weeks and just had a check up yesterday. I have one more once a month check up, then it'll be every 2 weeks for a month, and then once a week for the last month. Everything was looking good at this appointment. I've gained about 20 lbs. so far and the doctor told me I am hypoglycemic which explains why I've been feeling so crappy. I need to be eating something every hour or so to keep my blood sugar levels stable. Now that I know that, hopefully I can stay on top of it enough to keep from feeling so gross all the time :) I got rid of all my baby stuff when we thought we couldn't have and more kids but, thanks to some lucky goodwill and yard sale finds, I now have a cute little wardrobe ready for him whenever he decides to show up. I still need to get an infant car seat and play pen but just knowing that I have some clothes for him has made me feel a lot more ready. I'm planning on filling the freezer and pantry with meals in the next month or two so we don't end up living off of $5 pizzas after the baby. We still haven't settled on a name but we have a few possibilities: Noble- it's a family name and I like it for either a first or middle name but Blake only likes it as a middle name; Jude- I still really like it for a first name but Blake is now on the fence about it; Fox- not sure if this would be a first or middle name but I do know that I don't want to spell it Foxx like Blake wants to. It just seems like too much to me. My vote is on Jude Noble Walker (I also really like Noble William Walker after my grandpa but Blake doesn't like William :( ) right now but Blake is stubborn so we'll probably just end up with whatever he wants by the end because I'll be so sick of trying to get the names I want lol
Now for an update on the big kids: Logan is getting excited for kindergarten and is so ready for it! He's getting really good at reading small books and sounding out words he doesn't know. The English language is so confusing though I feel like I'm constantly telling him "well, you'd normally say or spell it like this but this is an exception to that rule". He is such a good helper and is always asking me if I need any help with anything or have any chores for him to do. He loves animals and babies and is content to just sit and hold them for however long they'll let him. He is getting really big and he's got a super cute spread of freckles across his nose. He loves playing with Legos and probably wouldn't even notice if I got rid of all the other toys. His favorite food is fettuccine alfredo and he loves to help out in the kitchen. His favorite thing to make is instant pudding because all he has to do is add 2 cups of milk to the mix and stir it so he can do it totally by himself. He has memorized the first 4 articles of faith already and gave his testimony all by his self in primary last Sunday.
Brin is growing up so fast, too. She still can't say her 'r's but she has a big vocabulary and totally surprised me the other day by writing her name without any help. I was doing really well with doing preschool for all the kids but haven't kept up since being so sick and tired with this pregnancy. I'll definitely need to make that a priority once the baby gets here because she is more than ready. She loves playing with her babies and dress ups and playing Legos with the boys. She is finally starting to let us do her hair and loves to have "princess hair". Her favorite food is macaroni and cheese. She likes to help out in the garden and is so excited to see our sunflowers opening up. She still carries her "gee-gee" around and the once yellow blanket is now a nasty grayish color no matter how often it gets washed. She loves to make forts especially around her bunkbed and she loves to watch whatever I'm doing. I've elbowed her in the head quite a few times because I didn't realize she was behind me. She loves dressing herself and putting cute earrings on. She is already getting tan and has super blond streaks in her hair just like I used to get every summer.
