I'm attempting to make up my menu and grocery list for the week but nothing sounds edible right now. Got any ideas for me?
Here is a video of one my favorite meals to make:
I do it a little differently, though. I've never sprayed my pot and have never had a problem. I usually sprinkle my chicken with a little chicken bouillon, garlic pepper, and italian seasoning and let it cook on low for 8-ish hours until it falls off the bones. I use the leftovers in casseroles, tacos, enchiladas, soups, salads, sandwiches, etc. (or just eat it cold from the fridge) and it usually lasts about 4-6 meals for my family of four depending on what I make. Perfect for busy weeks or just weeks when I'm not feeling well. I love recipes like this because you can easily customize it to your own tastes and it's a good grocery budget stretcher.
Hope you enjoy it :)

Slowly feeling back to normal
Still have a bit of the morning sickness lingering but the kids are all better and I'm feeling like I have more energy now too. I'm hoping that in another week or two I'll be completely back to normal (this should be about week 12). I have my first appointment tomorrow but I think I'll have to reschedule it because our insurance still hasn't gone through. Bummer :(
We had a good weekend and got to go to the temple, spend time with my baby brother, Travis, who just moved in to town, saw our newest nephew being blessed on Sunday morning, and had a good Patriots game on Sunday afternoon (Super Bowl here we come!). All in all, a pretty good few days! I only wish I had taken some pics but I haven't been very good at pulling out the camera lately so here is one I got from the Patriots website:

Same old thing...
Still sick and barfy, still have sick kids (my kids are better but now it's making its rounds through the day care kids which is way worse imo because everything is so much more gross when it's someone else's kid lol), still spending most of my time either on the couch or on the back porch watching the kids play...
I'm really hoping my morning sickness will start to ease off in the next couple weeks because I am going stir crazy! I want to get my house clean and have the energy to go places and do things. I should be about week 10 1/2 right now and usually you start to feel better at around 12 weeks so if I can hold on until then I should be good. :)
In other news, Blake starts school full-time next week! He's taking 16 credits this semester so he's gonna be pretty busy! This is going to be a huge change for us all and it's a little scary with a baby on the way but we still feel like this was the right decision.
Have all of you seen Ana-white.com? She's an awesome mommy/carpenter from Alaska who posts easy furniture plans for free on her website. I've been wanting to make some shelves for toy storage for a while now so I'm hoping I'll feel good enough this weekend to make this:

It looks pretty easy but I've only ever made a picnic table and that was with my dad's help so we'll have to see how it turns out :)

Happy New Year!
New Years was very uneventful over here since I was the only one who made it to midnight. :) Brin woke up for a few fireworks but the boys sleep like the dead so they missed out entirely. I don't remember if I made any resolutions last year or not so I figured it would be smart to put my 2012 resolutions on here for future reference.
1. Have a healthy pregnancy/delivery/baby. I suck at listening to my body and taking care of myself so I plan on taking it easy more often, drinking more water, eating more often, and remembering my prenatal vitamins (speaking of which, I forgot to take them today- oops!).
2. Spend more quality time with my kids. It's so easy to get caught up in everything I need to do during the day but it's so important to take a time out once in a while and just cuddle my babies. They'll be gone before I know it!
3. Be more self-disciplined. I had such a good schedule in our old house and really felt on top of things but I haven't been able to get that since we moved last year. I'd like to get more organized this year and find a schedule that works and that I will actually stick to. :)
4. Strengthen myself and my family spiritually. I am awful at remembering to have personal scripture study and I know that if I can get this habit in place it will help me in every other aspect of my life.
Happy 2012!
In other news, I had to pull out my maternity clothes today because my jeans were killing me. I'm not big enough for maternity shirts but I have such a small torso that my belly pops out really early and the rubber band in the button hole trick was just not cutting it. I'm guessing I'm about 9 weeks right now and I can't wait until I have my first appointment later this month so I can find out for sure how far along I am.

Please ignore the crappy photo quality...
and here is one of sick Logan...

I'm guessing he has hand foot mouth because he's got blister-like sores in those places so he's pretty miserable :( My apologies to anyone we came into contact with on Sunday. Brin got it first and only had a couple sores on her foot so we assumed they were just bug bites until Logan got them today. I'm guessing we got it from a grocery cart or something (yuck!). Any tips for treating this would be welcome!
Welp, that's it for today!
